@sashofelegance did you read the book? the movie is based on the book but it wont follow it completely, Otis said it himself hollywood will be hollywood. I remember that cause Otis was sued by members of Ruffins family who felt the movie demonized him.

@sashofelegance even though david had a bad attitude (mostly due to the drugs and hangers on) otis was a task master and not always easy to get along with. david could also put the charm on when he wanted, hence why he's one of the best front men ever.

I love this movie. My only issue is that I can't say I believe it all. This is only Otis' version & I found things in the movie that made me question what he left out. Ex. If David had such a bad attitude, why would Dennis leave the group & begin singing w/David & Eddie? Maybe it's just me but I think there's a lot missing from the story. I know that certain things he couldn't put in for legal purposes however, I think this movie should have been out when atleast more mmbrs were around.
