Another one I've been holding back on thanks to the Neo.

  • N64 if they did more 2D titles would have lasted longer then it did.

  • It was a disaster from start to finish, lack of 3rd party support, no cd format limiting the size of games and even in Japan they didn't release hardly any RPG's. After the success of the SNES you have to wonder what they were thinking.

  • @Lorfarius So do you hate the N64?

  • @Nsanity96 No? At the time it had some good games but going back to them these days is difficult. The vaseline vision doesnt help.

  • It's worth sticking with, it's odd at the beginning, but gets better as you progress. I did play through the DC version though. What connection are you running on your N64, get an RGB modded US system for the best looking connection - it looks like a whole new console

  • I've since given my N64 away at the Retro Reunited charity auction. I had a good think before getting rid but there really is nothing that interests me on the system these days.

  • This game is well underrated. One of the best 3D performers I've played, Loved it on the N64 especially with the expansion pack which allowed "hi res" gfx lol. Picked up the Dreamcast version on release and really enjoyed it again.

  • Yeah, 3D RPG's and probably Wrestling games as well are better than the 2D ones although 2D is better for everything else.

  • I think they improved the camera on the DC version.

  • I think I played a little bit of this on an old DC demo disc, but generally I've never seen the attraction of Rayman. Still, it looks nice and colourful; shame about the camera/control issues...
