ARE Tasmanian Tour - Easter 2002 - Part1

Over Easter 2002, the Association of Railway Enthusiasts ran a tour to Tasmania with the Don River Railway.

Part 1 of this series features X4 departing Don with a charter trip to Launceston, shuttle trips to Coles Beach with steam locomotives M4 and MA2 and then the journey from Don to Launceston behind diesel locomotive Y6.

0 this makes me homesick,being Tasmanian (now in QLD) I rember these trains, places and the track at Don River Railway I worked on

I helped lay the track and rember travelling on the passenger train from Devonport to hobart leaving devonport at 10:40 i think and getting to hobart well after dark
