@LilNiceWolf You have no idea! He is absolutely RESTLESS. I'm not exaggerating. I have a hard time catching him keeping still - don't get me started on netting him for when it's time to clean!

And yes, he has. Often, when feeding him, I won't even get to the point at which I can drop the pellet before he jumps clear out of the water and nips my finger - sometime he does get the pellet! It's incredible. So, I usually keep a book on top of the lid, sometimes. xD

@shoopwhoopX Oh yes, I know! I feel HORRIBLE for having him in such a tiny space at the moment - at least I keep it painfully clean... I have three bettas, and I think I'm ADDICTED to the buggers - but I made a vow that I wouldn't even THINK of buying another, until I get all three of them into bigger tanks. Thankyou for your concern, however ^^
