Yo does he write all his own stuff? if so he is a lyrical genius!! as far as the beat goes if its a sample its a sample but either way Drake killed it. i dont like to sample in my beats but everyones different...
I respect your argument but Im gonna disagree.. hip hop ain't been beat jacking, there may have been some uninspired sampling done and thats jacking i.e Kanye - touch the sky but the likes of Pete Rock Madlib and Dilla have flipped it in a new way. Your hip hop knowledge fails. Maybe everyone in this genre jacks each other for mix tape beats but that don't mean its been done since the 80s since the origins of hip hop.
yeah cool but when i say beat jacking i mean lifting the beat off something inspirational, deep, real, a song with meaning, and just looping that (or jacking the whole song which this does) and recording some wack ish over it. When I say beat jacking i refer to the way its used money or displaying your skill, the ends don't justify the means
