Without question this is the best song ever. I loved punk and got into serious metal but the first time I heard this when it came out, I cried. I have cried many times since. I have instructed my family that this will be played when I die. Bono gets a lot of criticism but his voice and passion are unique, The song is simple, the bass line is simple, the lyrics are simple but the love in the song is deep and powerful and can soften the hardest of hearts. It melts me and always has done. Genius!

this is the best version I ever heard, maybe i ´m wrong but I like it more than the rattle and hum with or without with renegade Bono :)
