"sometimes people will let me kind of roll out into their backyard on occasion. and there are some churches that have big back driveways and parking lots in the back and i'd go back there." michael d'anna payed for the room out of his own pocket. but

10:06 pm admits he's not a wealthy man. "i'm an hourly worker okay. that's all i've got." d'anna just doesn't want to ignore what he sees as an obvious problem in santa fe. "i made promise to myself when i do see one i'm not going to turn it away to someone else. i'm going to take care of the problem." d'anna helps when he can. but says he can only do so much so he's set up a website asking santa fe businesses to help homeless vets. homelessvets.info. he also just sent out these cards. he says he's not asking for cash donations. he's asking people to offer vets what they can from their businesses. be it a free or reduced cost hotel room, clothes, a hot meal or even a job. "and i'm hoping to catch on to other people who realize you can make a difference. it's all about you, you gotta make a difference." d'anna says the effort is also about hope for people like de tevis. saying maybe a little help could even get a few vets off the street. d'anna says since sending out his
