We should consider ourselves blessed that we didn't have IPods, and had TV's with rabbit ears that only got 3 channels. Our rooms were the last places we wanted to be, so we went out and did things. Malls, skating rinks, videos arcades, ect... were packed. We interacted and mingled for real, not through a headset or a Facebook wall. We got into trouble. Technology was still there for us, we just didn't let it dominate our lives.

@JunmaiShu I agree with you 100% friend.

There was something magical about being young in the 80's. I tried to put my finger on it many times, and I think it's mostly going out and interacting... having real experiences. And the movies of the 80's reflected those lifestyles. The characters experiences reflected our own in many cases. We've all been Ferries Bueller before, and others.
Now all kids really do is play XBox Live and download apps. Their childhoods lack the magic ours had. I wouldn't trade mine for anything.

@Swearengen420 I miss them days more then anything in my life,I just lost my cousin Jeff that was only 39 him and I where the true Goonies he lived near Astoria Oregon and we used to run around Fort Stevens and Hammond Oregon. I wish I could go back in time and stay there for ever.

I hope someone can build a shopping mall with just the 1980's things.
- Cinema playing only 1980's films and TV sitcoms
- Cafe with 1980's atmosphere and playing only 1980's music
- Clothing stores selling only 1980's clothes
List goes on. People with 2000's technology will be prohibited from entering. Let's bring the 80's back.
