I found this song on a "Guitarist" magazine CD i bought a long long long time ago that Eric Used to write for. i was fairly sure i threw out this CD out along with all the other magazines i got rid of a few years ago but luckily enough this one slipped by me.
said id upload it since there isnt any live version of this song on here
its such an excellent version of bushwacker too.
I was pretty shocked to find out only a few weeks ago that Eric had passed away...and that he was Irish... and a such brilliant guitarist...
all i really knew about him was that he used to always have great songs tabbed out in the "guitarist" and "guitarist techniques" magazines now and again... im certain sure i learned the finger picking for Nick Drakes "Things Behind the Sun" from one of Eric's columns...
and anyway we didnt have youtube back in 2003 or 2004 or whenever it was i bought those magazines so it wasnt as easy to just do a search for somebodies music as it is these days.
Shame he had to leave so soon anyway. There is a good radio documentary on RTE that is narrated by his brother, just some interesting things about Eric's life and how they grew up together (with a bit of background music by Eric). He actually gives a fairly positive account of the last few months of Eric's life, check it out for yourself, you'll know what i mean:

RIP Eric Roche
Yeah, i already figured that out, cuz you defintely need a C on the bottom. But it will take me a few moths to learn, cuz i almost entirely lost a fingernail on my right middlefinger :(

@rogiermusic ouch, im guessing it might be the bit at 1:02 that done that, he really lashes into it there, or at the start as well, he must have had some tough fingers lol

Thank you so much for this video. I now definitely want to learn this. This is in dadgad right?

@rogiermusic not too sure, i went searching myself and came across somebody who said it was CGCGCD, i tuned it down to that, and it sounds about right, but its far too much effort to tune that so i might try and learn it in dadgad instead :D
