there is no such thing as the perfect bellydancers body, any one in their own physique and style can dance bellydance, ive been to turkey and saw one tall skinny woman dance and another with big boobs and flat tummy, in cyprus i saw a short half egyptian blond dance, a lebanese woman with big hips- it does not matter. also the origins to the dance are unknown, and each "ancient" culture has basic movements of the dance from africa, india, egypt, Hawaii, turkey, greece, Romani Gypsy.

She's not just shaking her belly, she's performing one of the oldest forms of dance which takes years of dedication to learn to do with the ease that she makes it seem. As for the musicians, they too are perfoming music that sounds as if there are many different types of drums in this piece when in fact it's only two artists doing the music. The musical connection between the dancer and her musicians is shown beautifuly in this piece. Only an ignorant fool would see this in such a negative way.

I don't see the need to add romanticism to anything here, they're all artists, working together to create the same thing, they need to watch each other and work together. The only connection I see is a group of very talented people enjoying their performances.

I love the fact that Jillina looks like she's having the time of her life! I think enjoying the dance is such an important part of it, and yet there are some bellydancers who seem to forget it...
