26 Oct 1992 - [some video problems] Laying in bed the next morning, Blake is disturbed by a knock at the door. The visitor tricks his way into her apartment before revealing that he's a reporter, wanting the inside, juicy story of her fling with the would-be Senator Marler. Outraged, Blake tries to chase him out, as Maureen shows up and helps throw him out. Blake is very discouraged about what the scandal has done to Ross' campaign. Maureen updates Blake on Ross' new statement to the press. Maureen has faith in the voting public, but Blake keeps obsessing about how she'll always be bad no matter what she tries. Blake thinks this is karma for seducing Ross away from her mother in the first place. Maureen is shocked that Blake asked Ross to choose between her and the Senate. Maureen counsels Blake to trust Ross and wait out the election, but Blake feels it won't matter if Ross loses. Blake is encouraged when Maureen says Ross is gaining in the polls again. Blake is thinking of ways to help Ross regain his lead, when Maureen asks about Blake's parents. Blake feels that Holly is playing the role of her lifetime and that Roger doesn't really care about her, but Maureen knows better about Roger. Later at the hospital, Maureen asks Ed to keep an eye on Blake. Back at her apartment, Blake thinks about her father before calling to ask to meet with him.
