I first saw Marva at Muddy Waters in 1992 and was absolutely blown away. When she did Bluesiana Momma it brought the house down. I saw her every time I went to NOLA over 13. It was great to see her in my home town Melbourne Australia where I met and spoke with her. Lovely lady RIP Marva you'll never be forgotten

I had the immense pleasure and privilege of playing piano for this wonderful artist on tour in Germany and France in 06. She was a class act and a great human being, and made my life richer. I will always be grateful that she wanted me around, and her untimely passing is the whole world's loss. RIP.

Had the good fortune of seeing her perform twice over the years, once in New Orleans, where I was lucky enough to meet her & speak for a few moments. She was a lovely woman & a great performer. R.I.P. Marva.

She has at least 3 octaves and that's very good. And sitting down. OMG! In this one I wish she would have come back and sang the ending. So cool!
