Joe's unique talents have been honored by being the #1 Vibist in the DB critics poll (TDWR) and three-time Mallet Player of the Year award from JJA (including 2009). He has played with everyone from Dizzy Gillespie, Pepper Adams and Mongo Santamaria to Rod Stewart and the Beastie Boys. For the Love of You reinforces his role as current bandleader of his quartet along with other groups (4 Walls of Freedom, Milt Jackson tribute project, et cetera).
