I did a routine as the unknown comic for our 6th grade talent contest. I was shy and the bag was the perfect shield for me. I threw out a rapid succession of "baggy" jokes and brought down the house. Oh, so long ago. Ironically have done LOTS of public speaking in my adulthood. Thanks Murry for helping a kid break out of his shell in an odd way. :)

Sorry, I don't check my email often. If you ever get it uploaded, please let me know. I am not making fun, I just think it is so cool you were on the show. Awesome as well that Gene was on there. I am glad your show did air. Wow, had no idea all were taped on the same day and I could only imagine how interesting that would be. Have a great day! Our show aired on October 4, 1977 btw. The day before the President (Nixon I think) was giving a speech on TV and my fellow Gong Show stars who were scheduled to air nationally that day got preempted!!! We were very lucky to have our show aired. We flew in from 1,300 miles away with no gurantees and had to go through 5 auditions.

No I am somewhat of a dinosaur. I have it on VHS tape and CD, but do not know how to upload it to You Tube. Gene the Dancing Machine was on our show with Pearl Bailey and JP Morgan the other 2 judges. They tape all 5 shows for the week on one Saturday so I was in a room all day with about 50 nut cases like me and my partner. There is indeed no business like show business.
