That's fine for a display case, but not a computer. The only thing between your CPU and heat sink should ideally be a thermal compound of some sort.

Sorry.
But the chemicals in that polish can actually corrode your heatsink and CPU surface, leading to less conductivity. I understand you want a mirror shine, but in most cases that shine is a bonus and a result of a gradual grow from low-grit to high-grit (in my case 600, 800, 1000, 1400,1800, and 2200). I'm sorry about my previous harsh comment.
