This is what Fanservice in Anime should be like. But then, I can only say this is good because Slayers developed the characters so well outside of fanservice.

that's japanese mentality for you. them simply making an anime (which they claim not bein easy). they need a small little song for one small part to be used merely once in one episode, all for the sake of a joke. and they end up making a hit song. not to mention they always pay utmost attention to even the smallest details. ok except that one time when Chichi had 6 fingers in a scene while fighting Goku at the world tournament... still. it's no wonder i like that country so much. :)
