  • if i was tiling that wall i would've (measured, as i do) started with a full tile from the corner, then i would've ended with a bigger tile at the other end also, for a neater look ;)

  • arent there any american tile setters anymore

  • great video! thanks a lot

  • I have been doing tile for 30 years and most of this is bull.He ended up with 1/4 tile at the ends when there should have been 3/4 of a tile. And guys if your wall are that much out of square then you have to fix them before tile. Dang looks like i need to make videos

  • I dont think u want a small strip of tiles in the corner. A wall can be out of square by as much as 1/2" from top to bottom. So...u stand the risk of having a really narrow strip as you move along. I found that splitting the difference works the best.

  • Serrating is a mess. Serrate your lines straight.

  • enjoyed the video very simple thank you

  • @missjunglette Either level the wall with plaster (sometimes difficult), add plasterboard stood off from the wall, or get smaller tiles so the edge discontinuities aren't obvious. If you use plasterboard make sure it will take the weight of the tiles, you need to check the strength rating.

  • @experttilehelp i dont think the general population see things that way lol but your right

  • I would love him to do a video on my bathroom - NONE of the walls are level or square, so it caushed no end of problems. You shouldn't leave spacers between tiles, it creates a weak point in the grout. No cutting around pipes, window frames, fitting plastic tile trims etc.

Anyone can til on to a piece of flat board, so for me, this video was of no use as it doesn't cover the important things or just how long it takes to prepare surfaces. It's not possible to do a bathroom in a day either!!!!
