Derpy's first speaking scene. Her first scene would have been Feeling Pinkie Keen when she dropped the piano on Twilight (and the first time Studio B winked at us).

Ashleigh Ball is being pointed out as the VAs at Bronycon were asked to do a voice for Derpy, and she did one. This was a tease since they would have known this scene was coming.

  • @SaixLuver I know. I actually kinda liked it. At first, I thought the voice was a little disappointing, but after that, I thought, "Hang on, Studio B just acknowledged a character WE CREATED."

I don't care what they did with the voice or the characterisation - this is a friggin' landmark! That's OUR character, that WE created, canonised! If only some people would swallow their pride more and realise how momentous this is!

  • So the best way to sum her up is that she's the clumsy, well-meaning doofus that is always eager to help?

I wonder if she's possibly aware of her clumsiness. All of a sudden this opens so many possibilities for her character. If there are ponies like Rainbow Dash that tell her to do nothing despite her clumsiness, does she feel insulted? Is she blissfully unaware that people don't want her around? Does she continue to try and contribute through thick and thin despite her incompetence?

  • Rant Time...

So many of us love Derpy Hooves. She made me realize how much the show's writers love us bronies, having officially renamed the character in our honor. She made me even more proud to be a brony. I could always count on the sight of Derpy to cheer me up! And then some people went and said Derpy offended people with mental problems. Even worse, Hasbro chose to bow to their will and remove her. I have a history of mental problems and I find Derpy funny and cute!

    Sorry, just venting.

  • @Darthgranny You cannot fathom just how hard I came.

  • @Gotmilk0112 Nuh Uh! <3

  • I didn't want Derpy to change, I liked her just the way she was. And I find it ironic that censorship has hit a show that promotes kindness, love, and most importantly, acceptance. I'm sure that the pressure from the fandom will get her un-censored in due time, but for now, I could use a hug.

  • Guys... I've got bad news... they put The Last Roundup back on iTunes, and, well...

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

  • 0:45 Wow, they really do cater to the erotic Bronies, don't they?

  • DERPY, YOUR FATASS 0:46

  • sign the derpy petition!!!!!

  • I expected her to speak more like homsar with non-sequitor word scrambles.
