I Got the idea from a fellow youTuber. (Aggieneer2007) I had an old radio cooler but decided to upgrade and improve the 1 I had. This is the finished product, it can play: AM-FM Radio, SD card, CD, and any MP3 via headphone jack. It has a small amp under the marine speakers on top of the radio housing. Air horn with small compressor which is mounted under the speakers as well. It has 1 main power switch to turn everything on and off to save the battery when not in use also a push button for the horn. The whole cooler is painted with 2 coats of bed liner inside and out. (herculiner) It does and will hold about 30-40 beers with ice. Yes I put the drinks (beer) and ice in with the battery. The battery is an optima red top which is sealed so that nothing leaks, and has terminal covers so that nothing shorts out on the cans. The dry weight is 98.2lbs, so it's a little heavy and that is without the beverages and ice. This is my first cooler of this caliber and second radio cooler so please leave comments and ideas. Our group of river rats try and go to the river each year since 2007 as long as we all have clear schedules and this year we have a date at the end of July so look for us and the BLACK PERAL, Thanks.

Please check out the pictures that I have uploaded...

  • Hey what up! Thanks for the comment! I used foam in a can to fill the old holes then fiberglass over it on both the inside and out. Then hot glued wooden letters together and hot glued them to the cooler then fiberglass resin over them. Then painted with bed liner. i also have a short vider of the finished product, it kinds sucks cause it was taken and up loaded with my iphone. but check it out and let meknow what you think!!!

  • hey man, awesome cooler!First time cooler stereo and first time fiberglassing so should be interesting. But first did you fiberglass the whole cooler and just leave it rough? Or did you use that rubber paint in a spray can? Also what did you use for lettering? Just wood and fiberglassed over it?
