What *is* "Table for Ten"?
Google+'s Hangout feature allows up to ten people to video chat together at any given time. After thinking a lot about all of the creative ways the Hangout feature can be utilized, I decided that +Rob Grega and I should have a the first ever, regularly-scheduled public cooking Hangout with you all! (And by Rob and I cooking, I mean Rob cooking. I will be playing the role of charming hostess with Sauvignon Blanc in hand. I'll also be keeping things exciting with intermittent Foodie trivia throughout the Hangout.)
I really like the idea of cooking together, then sharing the meal as a social experience afterward. The current model of cooking shows is too outdated, I think, and it's time we evolve it. The Hangout feature means we get to cook with you, answer questions in real-time, and then enjoy in the fruits of our labors together at a table for ten.
