Glass Onion that New Jersey band comprised of Vintage Rockers, did a Masterfull performance of Don't Let Me Down at the Beatlefest's Battle of the Bands. Unfortunately Glass Onion lost to 2 bands made up of 15 year olds. Unfortunatly the strategy of having drummer George Vallone in order to garner the AARP vote, Matt Alferio and keyboard player Jeff Montross (aka The Fonz), for the Italian vote, extraordinary Guitar player Carlos Oliver for the Latin vote and ringers Joe Stuby and singer Rick Lee , failed to bring in the win.
Group leader Carlos Oliver commented to Rolling Stone magazine, "I was a little disappointed in the 5th place finish. I thought Joe and Rick would bring us in. Unfortunately that didn't happen. I was hoping that Matt Alfierio, Jeff Montross and George Vallone's Italians roots would tip the scales. Frankly, I thought I did my job in bringing in the womens vote. Next year, I may have to bring McCartney himself in to win this."
i've know jeff from my neighbor's band, "string theory".

Great musicians and lead singer. All you needed was a good harmony singer and you guys would have won. The Beatles were all about the harmonies.
