If you want to see Bill O'Reilly slandering US soldiers, search this on youtube: General Wesley Clark smacks O'liely (watch from 2:50)

@andrzejso - Very well said Andrzejso. Fox new$ has made MANY of these 'little mis-takes'. Maybe they owe Prescott Bush something. In bill'o's words, ".we all know that! That's on the record! Documented!" The fox new$ thing of, "Everybody knows"& "We all know" & "Obviously". Something that should also be mentioned on this videos page is that fox news CHANGED their transcription of that show. When it was transcribed, (written down) they lied and had bill saying, 'Normandy' instead of 'Malmedy'.

Good video gamingeagle ... you try to be fair. I think O'Reilly is an egomainiac - and has many other character flaws. But to imply that he intentionally tried to smear our WWII soldiers is a complete joke. Olby knows Bill mispoke ... I'm quite sure Keith knows the Chenogne story as well, but omits it. Instead he grandstands and pretends that BillO's mistake was intentional. Why? O'Reilly should have done a better job of clarifying the record, but Olby is the liar.

Uh No. the 7th armored was massacred at Malmedy. The 11th TANKS were involved in Chenogne.
He was wrong on both.

Read some history books and look at Europe's map for once at least!
Normandy is in France!
This is a place where US (and other) troops landed during D-DAY (6 June 1944)
Malmedy or Chenogne is in Belgium, where German Ardennes Offensive happneded on 16 December 1944.
This was 500km east from Normandy, which has been a freed territory for 6 months already.
How can you explain US troops traveling from Malmedy 500km west and killing Germans which were not there??
It's Bill's stupid excuse!

He did not do a good job. He made statements that are entirely false and dishonest.
It is honestly the most depresing thing I've ever read to see someone associate any kind of positive connotation with twice denigrating some of the bravest men in the history of the world, let alone some of the greatest American citizens in the history of The United States of America.
Please read a book and/or make sure you know what you're talking about before you say something like this again.

You also state that O Reilly says Malmedy in both references, so are you saying that in BOTH instances he meant to, "say Normandy," even though the region of Normandy is entirely unrelated to any surrendered troop massacre? I'm actually not sure what you're getting at at all, as you contradict yourself and your would-be argument, throughout the video.
It's hard to believe you defend this, especially as you're defending it with dishonesty and logical fallacies based off unsubstantiated hearsay.

No they didn't. There is no record or documentation, official or unofficial, of anything like that ever happening. The account you bring up, from a virtually unknown book, never once refers to the 82nd Airborne, and the three sentences from the single paragraph you quote, is the only "source" of the incident, which makes it (arguably) entirely hearsay/baseless.
And no it isn't. Chenogne is in Belgium, not Normandy. Normandy is a region of France, and is nowhere near Belgium or Luxembourg.
Where2start. Around 8:00 you mention US soldiers were under order 2 take no prisoners AFTER the Malmedy massacre. U wouldn't be looking for payback? If not U then the gung-ho 1 in charge? (Who started it?) 1 of the worst bits of this poor vid is when u say, "Well there ya go! There was a recorded incident!" (Like billo is now innocent of his continuous lies) "uhm what i meant to say was..." How about an apology? & gamer, how many times must fox stick up 4 the Nazis b4u c what's going on?

@Texture2000 I wasn't saying that. I was reading it off a source I found.
And Fox defends Nazis? That is the most blatant lie I've ever heard. Leave now or be blocked.

Billo on both times stated that it was the 82nd division in the malmedy massacre. He didn't give a date, but by using the context of the 82nd there was ONLY ONE massacre event. This is what people are upset about. His excuse is in justifiable.
Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Maybe the first time it was a mistake. The second time where he went into more detail after being bashed by others from the first time that got everyone upset. He should have apologized and moved on.

The 82nd airborne executed several SS prisoners a couple of weeks later in Chenogne in retaliation for Malmedy. That city is in Normandy. I believe this is what he meant to say. As for the first time he said that quote was so blatantly cut off that I have no idea whether he corrected himself or not.
