Dr. Josh Lenchus, Associate Director of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine-Jackson Memorial Hospital for Patient Safety, outlines the concept of academic detailing as well as the pros and cons of having the federal government share comparative effectiveness research information with health care providers. He points out that while the pharmaceutical industry is heavily regulated on the information it can share, the federal government is not. In this video, Dr. Lenchus ponders who will keep tabs on the government's dissemination of information.
