I'm sure her spymaster really wanted that. You know his work was the forerunner of MI6 and the CIA. Little known, but the Brits MI6 really were the ones to help the CIA become the way they are during WWII.

I love both of these movies so much. Cate pulled off the most perfect Elizabeth.

Only because of its geographical proximity...England changed the world, please read "To Rule the Waves", thank you.

Cate Blanchett was perfect for this role. She is the only one who could have adapted to being Elizabeth. I believe Kidman would have been out of her element in this...that is with all due respect to Kidman...

Cate was perfect in THE GOLDEN AGE..

Para estudiar historia pueden leer libros y ver documentales. Ésta es una película épica con elementos maniqueistas característicos de este género. No saquen punta absurdamente.
I thought the Golden Age was more emotionally provoking... (which basically means Cate was way better in the golden age)

Well, she was 10 years older. Cate is gracious saying acting was not a job but a privilege. And, no, the director wanted her to be Elizabeth not the other way around. It was humorous she was an Australian though. I wish they would have shown more of her political genius since that was what made her so beloved.
