Why didn't you put Joseph your monk in the first three? I seemed to remember I trained a monk to a high level, and he was my best fighter. No matter how high I let my thiefs and hunters advance, they never did me much good. Warriors, palladins, monks in the front. In the back put a bard and two mages.

Yes. A monk trained to a high level will be the best of the fighter classes. At the time though Joseph was getting his arse kicked in the front lines so I moved him back until he trained a few more levels.

I played the Apple IIgs version which had much better graphics. I hope someone posts that up. All these years and I haven't forgotten....

Aww yeah!! The Bard's Tale series is a classic! New releases don't even come close. Wish people would make more games like these.

@r8qt7 : The furthest I've gone with modern consoles is the PS2 and Gamecube. Half of the games I own for those systems I've never even played. Yet I still go back to this game. Why? GAMEPLAY.

i had all my boys up to 9999 and Brian the Fist was a HardMoFo! Mangar died quick.
