My friend Brian Jennings made this animation short with Bill Kroyer in 1988. They were nominated for best animation short. Unfortunately the award went to Pixar for Tin Toy. I like how technological threat contrasts the replacement with the work force by having the Dweeds replace the wolves at their desks. Much like how 3D computer animation took over old fashioned hand drawn 2D animation.

  • I agree, it's a paradox; being this cartoon is a homage to Tex Avery. Tin Toy had people scared by the "baby". On the other hand, Pixar had other shorts at the time.

  • Why didnt this win oscar ? Tin Toy was so scary and freaky ..

  • pretty awesome

  • @VinnyLT9000 Kinda ironic isn't it?

  • Great animation.

  • wow... So even way back then they predicted the threat technology posed to traditional animation.
