Here's another Out of the Box Review. This time we're going Real Space with Revell's reissue of their 1970 Saturn V Rocket. This is a skill 3, 1/32 scale kit. Accuracy and quality are likely on average for a 1970 model. While some parts are quite fine in detail, the astronauts were sloppily done and show no effort put into them. The heads are basic spheroids rather than helmets.

The two other kits in this "Buzz Aldrin Rocket Hero" series are the Saturn V rocket at 1/144 and the LEM kit @ 1/48. I would like to have seen this and the LEM in the same scale, but alas, no one makes a LEM at 1/32 and thes CM at 1/48 would be quite small.

  • I really enjoy these unboxing videos of yours as they give me a sneak peak at kits I myself might buy. However, what I am enjoying even more is the wonderful jazz you have playing especially at the end of this particular video. What is it?

  • Depending on what time frame you are referring to, it's either from the Samurai Champloo anime or Cowboy Bebop. I've got it set to shuffle between those and a third anime called Ergo Proxy.

BG music helps make these less boring to sit thru.

  • I'm liking the music too...

This kit looks a bit nicer than the other two for some reason.

All of them seem like a keen source of parts for a bits box, if only the models were more cheaply had.
