The current auroral forecast per alaska.edu:

"Auroral activity will be high. Weather permitting, highly active auroral displays will be visible overhead from Barrow to Bethel, Dillingham and Ketchikan, and visible low on the horizon from King Salmon.

Forecaster Comments: The effects of the solar events of the past 3 days are have been arriving at Earth and should provide aurora viewing for the next 3 days for the northern tier states in the US, north of England, southern Scandinavia. The skies should be dark enough at midnight south of 60 degrees N Latitude to see this aurora. The aurora should reach as far south as Chicago, if the present activity continues. Watch the short term aurora forecast panel.
Note to the southern hemisphere, there should be g"

Forecasted by Charles Deehr
Time of Prediction: Friday, August 5"

(...yes, "there should be g". And thats where it stops. lmao...)

"An M9.3 flare (fairly strong-sized) along with a coronal mass ejection (CME) blasted out from the Sun and headed in the general direction of Earth (Aug. 4, 2011). This was the third flare in three days from Active Region 1261. The CME, seen in the 304 wavelength of extreme ultraviolet light from Solar Dynamics Observatory, can be seen distinctly as a darker cloud lifting off and rising up and out into space, something we usually do not get to see so clearly. The movie covers about eight hours of activity. The Sun itself is superimposed on SOHO C2 coronagraph. The snowstorm effect is caused by high-energy particles from the flare striking SOHO?s imager. The lop-sided but fast-moving cloud of particles headed off in the general direction of and may generate some aurora activity when it arrives."

LOCATIONS IN THIS VIDEO (meow):
A good many of the clips I used were recorded in Latvia... including Zilupe municipality, Latvia as well as Jurmala, Latvia (Latvia is just south of Finland across Baltic Sea, it borders Lithuania).

Other locations featured in this vid:
Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada
Saskatoon, Sasketchewan, Canada
Tampere, Finland

And actually, those are the only locations I've seen so far. Guess its not very visible in the U.S. yet?.. But, if you live up there in the north, get out there tonight with a camera :D You too, Canadaaaa and all you northerly Earth critters out there. meow ^-^

The webcam shots were from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada... a spiffy little Auroral webcam with archived photos and daily timelapse movies:
