  • @Finnstudios, "If you're not scientifically intelligent, if you can't pilot an Air/Space Craft, if you haven't been chosen by a space program, you do not deserve to go and get your Astronaut wings." Did you mean to exclude the word "yet" at the end? While I understand your attempt to communicate a level of fairness, I would encourage you to have a little more vision. Historically, the wealthy owned their own boats, cars, & planes before the masses. Why would the space travel be any different?

  • If you're not scientifically intelligent, if you can't pilot an Air/Space Craft, if you haven't been chosen by a space program, you do not deserve to go and get your Astronaut wings. Just because some prick has money does not make him worthy of space flight. Some people, go to school for years, and learn to fly these machines and sometimes don't even get to go, but some rich fuck butt family and adults get to go into Space, what is this family vacation place? Fuck you, Space Adventures.

  • @charnewm I think he means both. Because at 62km up you are on the edge of space and by FAA standards you earn civilian "Astronaut Wings." And the metaphorical sense of the word being the experience.

  • @sharrynuk I think that's what he's talking about. "Astronaut wings" simply means the experience of spaceflight.

  • I think that "getting your astronaut wings" is a lot less important than the experience itself.
