Presenting a selection of opening logos from Video Classics, which also includes a variety of other logos for labels they managed for a time, from the late 1970s to the mid 1980s. The company distributed throughout Australia and New Zealand, and for a short while had branches in North America.

The one thing about Video Classics was that opening logos on their releases were never ever consistent. For example, some of the Gold titles didn't have the VC Gold logo, but a generic one. Some of the adult films had the second logo shown here, whereas some did not, etc, etc.

The video is as follows [years are estimates]:

* Video Classics Opening Logo [1980 - 1982]
* Video Classics Opening Logo [1983 - 1985]
* Video Classics Opening Logo & Preview Advice [1984]
* Video Classics Closing Promotional Sequence [1984]

* Video Classics Opening Logo Grid Sequence with Copyright Scroll [1983 - 1984]. Idents displayed are as follows:
~ Media Home Entertainment
~ Electric Blue (picture is from EB Vol. 007)
~ Sports World Cinema
~ VCL
~ The Nostalgia Merchant
~ Video Classics (first logo)
~ Wizard Video
~ Movies At Midnight (picture is from the 1981 adult film 'Neon Nights')
~ Video Classics Gold

* Video Classics Gold [1984]
* MEDA Home Entertainment [1978 - 1979]
* Media Home Entertainment - PAL tweaked, pitched audio [early 1980s]
* Electric Blue - shortened version [1983 - 1984]
* VCL [1982]
* VCL [1985- 1986]

Note:
* I have not been able to obtain Sports World Cinema, Nostalgia Merchant or Wizard Video logos, but will hopefully find them one day.
* There was no separate logo for the Movies At Midnight label.

  • @MattJFisher Yes. He does have a good American accent, though!

  • @gshowguy Hold on! Keith Scott is Australian?!

  • @Ian16545 No, he isn't related to Bill, despite the same last name.

  • @AussieRoadshow He's the brother of Bill Scott, who was Jay Ward's partner in production. I recognized that announcer voice of his from Disney's 1997 adaptation of "George of the Jungle".

  • @imnothereactually at the start i mean

  • KRAFTWERK

  • @AussieRoadshow Aussie voice actor-- he happens to be Bullwinkle the Moose's current voice actor.

  • Yes it is Keith Scott

  • Kometenmelodie 2 by Kraftwerk from their 70's Album Autobahn is what it is from.
