He holds BSc Hons from the University of New England, LTh Hons from Moore College & Australian College of Theology), BD Hons from London University), Diploma of Religious Education from Melbourne College of Divinity) and PhD from Cambridge University).

His PhD dissertation is published as Possessions and the Poor in Luke-Acts (Linz: SNTU, 1982).

Other books include Dust to Destiny: Reading Romans Today (Sydney: Aquila, 1996), The King of God's Kingdom: A Solution to the Puzzle of Jesus (Carlisle: Paternoster, 2002). Formerly Rector of St Matthew's Anglican Church in Shenton Park, Western Australia (1979 - 1992),

He was appointed Principal of GWC in 1993. He is an Affiliate Professor of New Testament at North-West University. David is married to Lorraine and they have a son and three daughters.

No, it's not dead, it's rapidly growing in Asia and Africa, while many muslims want to immigrate to the west and become second-class citizens there. Christianity isn't a western religion anymore. Lots of Christian ministers from Asia have been sent to the western world these days. Well, you know, God works in mysterious ways...
