Great video. We definitely need to get together in 2011 and fly Weaver Bally. Looks great.

I drove for two redding hang glider pilots in 93. Decided then and there I was to be a hang glider dude. I have flown high ever since but never off the Weaver Bally. I think 2011 is a good year to go back. How about it Jim Kennedy?

Don't have a handle on doing comments. Non-the-less, Nice video, great music selection. Talked about flying there in the 80's when the Redding flyer's were hitting it heavy, but never did. Might still have some home video copies of flying Weaver Bally from 80's in my collection. Its a very rewarding sport, as displayed by your video. Well Done mates! Typo of Cloud Street Gang

Hey thanks so much for taking the time and checking out what we do, great video and editing...much appreciated! We really love flying the "Bally" we will be flying the A LOT next Spring and summer and hopefully here in the coming weeks before the snow starts dumping! @k0harmer it takes about 15 mins to set up a glider and about 5 min of pre prep before take off most of the time... but we waited till the sun came over to the west face so wind cycles were coming up,took longer than expected, sorry!

@NorCalExplorer .... I really appreciate you showing the prep because people sometimes have the impression that hand gliders just roll up, get out of the car and start flying like birds. By seeing the meticulous preparation, you have an appreciation for how much goes into the pre-flight and how careful the guys have to be to make sure they don't take a nose dive. To me, the prep side of the video was the most interesting. Thanks NorCalExplorer.
Great video. I enjoyed watching the guys assemble their hang gliders because it really emphasizes how careful you must be to participate in this sport. Be careful...or die. That must be an exhilarating feeling.
It looks to risky for me but I sure enjoy watching. Thanks.

@enjoythewildUSA The are so careful on planning the launch site and then assembling their gliders that it took 4 hours from the time they arrived to they took off. I sped up the video of them assembling their gliders by 250% just I could keep the video half way short. Thank you for watching.

@k0harmer Not the whole time was for set up. They kept debating where to launch from. The up draft would come up from one side of the hill and then the other. It finally came up the strongest from the side they launched from. The other site was where the old fire watch tower use to me and that is where they caught the thermals to carry them up.
