JKD Fraud - Not the way of the Dragon !

This video was not made by me but I support it's aims, JKD has been poorly represented for far too long.

Youtube is rife with videos of people saying they are doing JKD, some are even calling themselves Sifus !!! after all they bought a certificate on ebay and are good to go right ?

Well...

No actually, no, no and a thousand times NO.

JKD is a style with clear principles at it's core...
Simplicity, Directness, Economy of motion. none of which can be seen in the majority of videos on youtube claiming to be JKD, instead we have people doing bad Wing Chun or MMA guys tying themselves up in knots and rolling about the ground.

Bruce Lee, creator of JKD, has only been gone for 33 years and already his art is in crisis, what a sad state of affairs, one can only imagine how furious Bruce Lee would have been.

Don't get me wrong if you want to roll about on the ground for half an hour, tie yourself up in knots grappling etc. that's fine but please don't call it Jeet Kune Do because it is NOT and to claim otherwise is quite frankly an insult to Bruce lees art and all who work hard to keep the true way alive.


So please...

STOP THE LIES, TAKE A STAND, EXPOSE THE TRUTH, THE REVOLUTION HAS BEGUN!

You DO realise that by dissing JKD, you are dissing MMA....because they are the EXACT same thing.

JKD is MMA...just like in MMA, you can choose pick and mix your styles. Everyones JKD is completely different, its personal to them, JUST like MMA is. Bruce Lees personal JKD included techniques from western boxing, Muay Thai, Wrestling, Jiu Jitsu, Judo, Fencing, Karate and a few others.

My personal JKD includes boxing, muay thai, BJJ, Judo and wrestling.

Get a clue, my friend.

Jkd isn't in the ring much, not because it's too deadly (I've never heard anyone say that) but because poking people in the eyes, hitting them in the groin and kicking them striaght in the knees is not allowed in mma fights... Sport mma is much more suited to mma fights (obviously). With that being said there are a few people who do jkd that adapt it to fit mma rules.
