Doesn't Rush Limbaugh have the right to buy a team?

Rush Limbaugh is trying to buy the St. Louis Rams football team. Many people are upset by this because they feel that Limbaugh is insensitive to racial issues. He was fired at ESPN for making questionable comments regarding Philadelphia Eagle Quarterback Donovan McNabb. Now Al Sharpton and the head of the NFLPA say that Limbaugh should not be allowed to own the team. Some players say they wouldn't play for him. And some NFL owners like Jim Irsay say they will not vote for him to be a team owner.
