By comparing a PC with a Phenom X4 2.6GHz with two 4870s graphics cards in Crossfire mode and another PC with Intel's QX9650 at 3Ghz and also the two same ATI Radeon cards, Moorhead wants to prove that you can have a very similar visual experience with a PC that costs $900 less!

"The only big difference here is the CPU and obviously the motherboard... Basically it's a very consistent experience between the 2 platforms. This is Call Duty 4... A huge difference though. The Intel system is $900 more expensive than the AMD game system primarily driven by the processor cost and the motherboard. So what this says is essentially when it comes to Call of Duty 4 is GPU limited. Particularly when you're running it at the higher resolutions with anti-aliasing turned on, anastropic filtering up really high... It doesn't say that the processor doesn't matter but what it says here is that at $215 processor not a $1,000 processor, you'll get a very similar experience... What could you do with the extra $900? You could buy 20 game titles, a 27" monitor, a cool racing gear with the seat to play an F1 game...".

  • i think AMD is a great company, you get a lot of chip for the money, a quad core AMD can make a supper gaming rig if you match the other components along with it then you still have a little money left over.

  • @goodatlinerider Yes. But what your not understanding is that one 5970 GPU with the phenom processor will have a much higher benchmark score than the lastest I7 core with an nvidia updated graphics card. For 700-900 dollars less.

  • (100$)Intel Core i3-550 vs (140$)AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition

AMD is soooo cheap only 40$ more for worse product.(Very loud fan.Requires much more power)

It's pathetic that guys from Europe can buy a better processor with America than in Europe.

    Intel-better technology,less power needed,better ratio price/performance

AMD-good cpu with primitive architecture-4cores amd works similar or even worst than intel 2cores processors

Your video don't prove anything.Next time use celeron vs sempron.

  • This is what happens: Intel and AMD are the same, just like big corporations ...AMD is experimental for what's market conveniently possible, and Intel is the final product just software enhanced.

  • AMD fucking Owns... with that $900 buy even more higher spec parts and compare that to an intel system of the same cost. what do you get? A system that in unparalleled Mother fuckers!

  • @bbuteo Bulldozer failed xD

  • @Darkteammadfiz

    LOL Gimme me a break!

  • that guy looks like my dad

  • @jewie27 Yeah on the pc anyway, excluding Black Ops lolol.

  • AMD is in desperate need of their new Bulldozer CPU to compete with Intel. As mentioned, Intel did not even need to deliver a full iteration of Sandy Bridge to match AMD's best.

  • I don't use AMD because I need more power than the Phenom x6 (a GTX 570, it can be CPU-limited with that). I won't try to play Civilization V with that Oo

  • Because in gaming, the GPU does most of the work that you see on the screen.
