We figured hospitality is a worthy subject come holiday time. Alton says that regrettably hospitality has come to mean showmanship. That, he says, is not what eating food that's been cooked for us is all about.

I admire, and very often share his philosophies on many of the things i've heard him talk about, and only *wish* i shared his ability to so poetically articulate them.

I agree, if we could all sit down at the hospitality table people would never feel hungry in their tummies or their souls. I had a teacher who once told me that the stomach is the center of soul's judgement, thus the saying gut feeling. We as a nation would not be screaming and yelling at each other if we could sit down at the table of common ground hospitality!
