Yesterday I got an email from Robot Festival Korea inviting us to another competition in October. So here I go again another motivation to work on the robot after I been busy with office work for the past several months.

Bioloid Premium Kit

This is my modify version of the Bioloid. I call it type L2. It is a very tall and large robot. I am testing out new ideas at this stage. Right now I want to improve the walking speed of the robot. Just look in Mix Martial art. Speed, Power and technique are the components one work on in a combat. Since I cannot improve the power I will try to improve the speed by better technique.

  • Nice video! Can your robot walk on a rougher surface such as a carpet? How much power is required to walk (voltage, amps, wattage)?

  • @tronics666 Some people manage to make it walk on grass but it would be difficult. The robot is powered by a 3 cells Lipo.

  • Hello robertlam18 congratulations for the idea of the tutorials are very nice, but I have a question for you! You do not think the current legs form disperse forces?

    Regards.

  • @ostrogoto0101 what do you mean by disperse forces ?

  • Great Video!

Thank you for once again inspiring me.

  • @yetanothermacblog

It is true in some ways. If it is motion then the servo 9-12 will need more effort. However for stationary there will be close to zero force when compare to a lower down pose.

The reason I want a longer leg is so that I can have bigger foot to be allowed during competition. During a fight it can lower itself down while having a bigger foot.

  • This is great helped me a lot but what program were you using to remember the steps taking?

  • @robertlam18 The center of gravity leg by leg have more distanse and servo of the ankles make a move with more effort. I apologize for my bad English!
