esson #25: Over the Hill (丘の反対側)
Welcome to BLT Eigo. I'm your host, David Hylton.
OK, I have to tell you something....March 6th, is my birthday.... and I'll be ?? years old.
Please don't sing!
In the U.S., some would say I'm "over the hill."
Now what does "over the hill" mean?
Well, according to a dictionary of American Idioms, "over the hill" means... "past one's prime, unable to function as one used to, senile."
I am NOT over the hill.
Now you say it... David is NOT over the hill.
That's uh... what was I going to say?
Ah, that's right.... Good Job!
Thanks for joining BLT Eigo. See you next time right here on BLTnetwork.com.
Bye!
