This is sort of a cornerstone of thought - a central meeting point of ideas and mental wanderings as of late for me.

Why are we here? Is there a purpose to life in this universe?

Maybe we're thinking of this with the limitations and corruptions of our mental and/or psychological profiles. Does there *need* to be a said "purpose" to life? Have we thought up the necessity for an actual purpose because that is what we can measure in these physical dimensions? Couldn't we possibly be missing the entire point of even *having* a point to life?

What if this universe is an exercise - maybe the reason why we are present as seperate living beings is to experience many facets of a single mind (collective consciousness?) subjectively, to gain insight and knowledge.

I'd love to hear your thoughts.

  • The purpose of life is a billion things but in the end you die!

  • That's for sure.

  • It is your perspective that I am wrong. It is my perspective that you are wrong. There isn't really a respectable way to force one another to believe the others' perspective. It's as simple as that.

And the Earth keeps on spinning, with or without us. How small we are, eh?

  • You are right, I am a sheep. And you are right, I do not respect lies. But I do respect you--which is why I'm sharing the truth with you. It would disrespectful to lie to you.

  • You, sir, are an arrogant, egotistical and tunnel visioned fuck, aren't you? Fancy me this, Kangaruhs:

What do you say to the millions who have the SAME AMOUNT of passion for their faith as you do yours? Would you simply say they are WRONG and that you have no respect their perspectives, as you do me?

You are brainwashed by religion, sir... It's nothing new, though, I see it everywhere.

    Baaaa-a-a-a-a-a. That's a sheep. ;)

Whatever makes you happy and keeps you "safe" from learning, I guess.

  • I am not sharing perceived truth, I am sharing truth. You do not have to accept it. I do not respect your perspective, because it is a lie--it came from a liar. It is not even "your" perspective, but the same perspective that mankind has had from the beginning. I cannot save you, but God wants to, if you will seek Him. I am giving you what God has shown me and I am speaking as God leads me. I'm not arguing with you; this isn't a debate; I am giving you truth. You can count on it.

  • You do hinder me, by claiming that your persective is the *only* perspective, and all others are simply wrong. You are hindering me by telling me things like "..turn away from "belief in self" and start believing in the One He sent."

I respect your perspective. Can you not respect mine without trying to "save" me? I hate it when people try to convince others of their perceived "truth". It's ignorant in my eyes not to be open to other beliefs - not to embrace them, but listen and gain knowledge.

  • I neither hinder you nor allow you to believe anything--how would that be possible? I am simply sharing the truth with you as God leads me.
