what? Dubai is built on oil. Simple as that. Without oil, no Dubai. No Dubai, no tourism.
They didn't even have water to sustain themselves, they had to build multi-million dollar seawater refining systems to allow life there.

@MrCryingDragon i want to mean: Dubai send oil by boat since sixties. But it is true that the oil is not the most income doesn't come from the oil. The money comes from the tourist.
