  • 1:15 , i watched a video on MLB Network on that showed how Carlos Beltran got such good jumps on a fly ball and it was because he didn't take the little step back, but his first movement was a long stride with the opposite leg.

  • Damn it lay off of pain113......I know that if I got a first baseman's MIT I would not be able to afford a second MIT. And you can use a fist baseman's MIT in the outfield....u can use a catchers MIT if you want to but it is just easier to use an outfielders MIT......so stop being such dicks to the guy

  • you are honestly a fucking idiot. everything you are doing is wrong, you always take you first step back you don't just stand there like an idiot. what would that do? and where are you training at, a little league field?

  • Your using a 1st basemen MIT

  • looks like he is using football shoulder pads

  • @Pain113 I used to play outfield and first base, and I would never use a first basemen mitt in the outfield. Different positions have different gloves for a reason.

  • really cool CoachBuford

  • Lesson #1......Use the right glove.........

  • I play for an MSBL team SL Rangers, I play LF and CF and I'm tellin you that both ways he explained are the correct ways to field. The first step back thing, will burn you more than help. he's right, the stop and freeze technique is correct.

  • @Pain113 So, do you play outfield? If you do then you would know that your first step is always back. And I play outfield and 1st. I got a 1st baseman's mitt, and I only use it to play 1st or catch, other than that, I use my other glove to play outfield.
