Bill Browning introduces the notion of biophilia and presents three aspects of biophilic design including 'nature in the space,' 'natural analog,' and 'nature of the space.' Browning discusses the Savannah Hypothesis and uses the longevity of the Johnson Wax building as an example to highlight the benefits of utilizing principles of biophilia in building design. Presented at the Garrison Institute's Climate, Buildings and Behavior Symposium, May 2010.
