This is a slow-motion test video using the Canon Vixia HF20. The hummingbird is a plain-bellied emerald / Beija-flor-de-barriga-branca (Amazilia leucogaster). The video was taken in João Pessoa, Brazil.

  • I have the same camera, but last I checked, mine only did 30fps, so how did you do this?

    Use the TV setting. The shutter speed can be set from 1/2 to 1/2000. See pages 63 & 64 of the manual.

  • @nps1000 can you tell me how to do the tv settings please i cant find it in the manual on page 63-64

  • How did you set the camera to do this? Can you also do stop action for claymation, etc?

  • Look they have really skinny long tongues! Good camera as long as you have good knowledge over the navigation of the menu and controls. :)
