  • Good setup though there's a few mistakes in your flying. Once V1 in announced by the co-pilot you must remove your hand from the throttle as you must get the aircraft airbourne and as the autothrottle system is controlling thrust there is no longer any need for you to have your hand on it. I also hear quite a few 'dont sink' messages on final approach, did you then crash hence the cut in the video lol

  • First of all... We had to redo the approach sequence a number of times and it took a few seconds each time to get the sink rate established. And NO... we did not crash.

My apologies for the throttle issue. The captain only has 15,000 real flying hours in various military and civilian aircraft but was probably nervous at his first flight as captain of a simulated 737 NG.

By the way, as it's obvious you're a real 737 NG pilot... what airline do you fly for and how many hours do you have?

  • @vmaxflight I'm not sure he meant to be rude as much as giving some outsider feedback to help you guys make it "As real as it get's." So trying to humiliate someone by throwing Flight time and career quips his way isn't the best thing you could've done.

  • @MavericStephenc You're absolutely right... and I should not have reacted as I did. It wasn't the criticism of the procedures but the implication that we "cut" the video because we had crashed on the approach. Sometimes we all forget that this is just a game. "As real as it gets" doesn't happen in a simulator, as you well know.

Good luck with your career... Martin

  • @cjibbotson protip..STFU!

  • where is the crew coordination??? ahah

    and the call out??? bah..

  • man i need that in my living room to make my wife angry ^^

  • @vmaxflight I think your reaction was fine. :)

You said the Captain was a real commercial pilot. Was/is he an airline pilot for any part of his career?

  • whats worse is that you're trying to actually sell product after bashing on peoples input..

  • @vmaxflight continued:

Don't get me wrong I'm not trying to discredit the captain or anything, but you sound a little rude. My flying experience pales in comparison to what you say he has. and before you bash on me I am in fact a pilot, and in school to fly for the airlines. At the end of the day, sure, CJ could have pampered a little. let's face it, Having that much flight time you think he could take a little criticism, or you for that matter....

    Cute vid
