  • God damn this woman is so fine

  • @popcornyogurt1 it's also that she was very rude during the interview. to all the people kissing Kristine's ass, we arent just mad because of THAT QUESTION. Life isnt all about economy and government and shit. It's 'useless' to you, but its fun to us. Imagine giving up a trip to disneyland or a ticket to your favorite singer or band. Would you rather sit outside the White House for 5 hours in the hot sun or actually take a break from life?

  • I'd like to comicon her face

  • I'm an illustrator and I'd have good reasons to support comic and art conventions, but I don't. I can't close my eyes before this nasty manufactured recession that is hitting people everywhere in the world. Kristine's question was legitimate and appropriate. Entertainment makes life sweeter, but it should never be used as a blindfold. However, that's what it ultimately is.

  • kristine is dope!

  • I'd love to go to the Comicon.

  • @Deman444 Totally agree with you - a story questioning a nation's values needs to either be directed to all forms of entertainment and needless spending, or at least something more substantial. A comic book convention is a pretty niche market which takes a lot of flack in general from the public for being nerdy or whatever, so using it as an example in this point will probably not reach most people and instead contribute to the "what a bunch of losers wasting their money/lives" camp.

  • Kristine, i don't care what they twitter. You're still the best looking reporter in the USA!

    Grtz from Europe ;-)

  • I actually get where she is coming from; I would have delivered the message in a better way but her point that WE as a nation need to be more proactive in lobbying and dictating what OUR elected officials so do is valid, but she did not say that. Her original statement was that she did not feel spending money on Comic Con was valid; I sure hope she made a report on the 88 million dollars spend on a NYC apartment, or was that valid!!??!!

  • I get the feeling from the original interview that she didn't really want to cover the story

  • Im a Hard working lower middle class citizen, I make $300 dollars a week but already owe much more than I make. Im only 20 but I cant even afford to continue my education at a community college in this economy. Thats why I took a low paying Job that will give me an education after six months rather than a higher paying job that couldn't offer schooling. Out of the $1200 a month that I make I keep only $100 and the rest pays for my car, my insurance, and bills...I STILL GO TO COMIC CON!

  • actually this question is rather hilarious... it needs to be asked more often in this moronic consumer world we live in...
