Sometimes atheists fall into that classic Christian trap: quoting cruelty from the Old Testament. The Christian response is: but Jesus changed all that. Read the NEW Testament, which is all about love and peace.

Oh really?

You don't have to look far to find that this is simply not true. Jesus is a chip off the old block and preaches the same old vengeance and misery that his dad made popular in BC times.

In fact I've stuck with only the 4 gospels, just in case there is a get-out clause I don't know about for quoting Romans or Corinthians. Those slippery Christian apologists!

Again, I've made good use of the 'Skeptics Annotated Bible' site, but this time I had to go through and replace non-Bible comments with actual scripture. Don't want bias creeping in there do we? There is some minor commentary add the bottom of each slide, but even without it the context is perfectly clear.

This stuff is ALL in the New Testament. Remember that when they tell you God is Love.

  • not an informative video.

  • How so? It shows many of the verses that may be unsettling for most thoughtful, ethical people.

Top Comments

  • A God that kills and preaches " Do not kill" is a hypocrite God.

A God that preaches unconditional love, and then punishes for loving the same gender is not a loving god, and a liar.

A God that kills due to believing in a different god is a jealous God.

A God that requires a blood sacrifice is a blood thirsty god.

A God that needs to test his creations has limitations.

A God that punishes you for what your ancestors did is a vengeful god.

Bottom line, no God is not worth worshiping.

  • God told me to tell you to go and fuck yourself. Sorry, I'm just the messenger.

  • Matthew 5:29-30 is not literal first of all, and second God is loving, but he is also just.

We live in a terrible world of murder, drugs, destruction, death, homosexuality, theft, decietfullness and more. And that is the truth, so when you say "God is mean and cruel", you sound just like a small child who is telling his mommy and daddy that spanking is child abuse.

  • This video needs a diabolic music to match perfectly the "comforting" and "peaceful" quotations from the holy(?) scriptures.

  • @martin2132004 cool story, hitler thought he was God too! Nice philosophy... See where it leads....

  • God would have never existed without humans, SO WE ARE GOD

We are the great creators, thats why there is so many religions in the world

  • Nice. Thanks. This is religion: is cruelty.

  • no, because as i said, not wanting something DOES NOT imply wanting the opposite. that is nothing more than erroneous assumption you have made.

  • this is really a black and white picture. There is no middle ground. If he doesn't want you to believe in him then he, in turn, wants you to not believe in him.

  • not at all, the reason they have different meanings is because not wanting something DOES NOT imply wanting the opposite
