A mathematical model of comparison, using set theory and a benign form of category theory. In comparing two elements, one must limit the elements to those which have the same descriptive structure(i.e. only compare two things which for any "part" of one there is a "mirror component" in the other.
A useful duality: (∀x∈ A ∩ B: x∈A ∧ x∈B)
