This is my documentary assignment for my Global Consumer Culture Class (CAHS 2007). I spent a semester volunteering at The Little Tree Preschool and learning about the educational needs of children with autism. As the world becomes more connected through globalization, it is becoming more and more important for children to have a basic education, as well as literacy and technology skills. If countries hope to thrive in this era of interconnectedness (globalization), they must provide their citizens with the opportunity for at least a basic education.
