    Yes, I believe the trailer was made before they filmed the rest of the series. This trailer came out last summer and the show was still filming into November of last year.

    It's a cover of Every Breath You Take done by Scala & Kolacny Brothers. If you're on Spotify, they have it to listen to for free. They also did the cover of Creep for The Social Network trailer, and Nothing Else Matters for the Zero Dark Thirty trailer. If you have a chance, I also highly recommend you check out their version of Champagne Supernova. Their songs are oddly hypnotic.
