Testing Bike Lights

Decided to get some proper bike lights suitable for more challenging night riding on trails and for endurance bike races. So I tested the 15 Watt single LED BLT Firewire and the 30 Watt LED CygoLite Mitycross 350. In the end, I got both ... the Mitycross on my handlebar and the Firewire on my helmet ... perfect!
Btw ... the helmet cam video shows the lights to be weaker/dimmer than they really are. But the comparison is still fair.

Nice bike lamps... whats the lumens? I use two tourches on my bike, one maglite mini 2AA with TerraLux TLE-5EX MiniStar2 Extreme (140 lumens) and one LED Lenser P7 (200 lumens, and can spot the beam too over 220 m), and a handhold Maglite 4D with TerraLux TLE 300-M EX (700 lumens), soo I got totally 1040 lumens when I bike=P LOL, I see everything, and have blend off the big one if I meet a car haha, it´s fun to night bike=D sorry bad english

Each led in the Mighty Cross is a Seoul SemiConductor rated at 3 watts each, so it is actually only a 6watt light, which lighting salespersons like to compare to 30watts of Halogen lighting. I have the BLT and it uses an ancient Luxeon led rated at 4 watts, but the bulb is not bright, it's very old technology now........
